The Little Dragon Who Was Afraid of Fire

At the peak of the Crystal Mountains lived Dante, a young dragon with emerald scales and kind, inquisitive eyes. In his village, dragons competed to see who could breathe the highest and loudest blaze. But when it was Dante's turn, he would squeeze his eyes shut and sneeze a tiny spark that looked like a friendly firefly.

When the harshest winter in centuries arrived, a freezing white gale covered the mountains. Lakes froze solid, and tree buds withered in the frost. The largest dragons attempted to thaw the valley with mighty torrents of flame, but only ended up scorching the frozen branches.

That was when Dante stepped gently toward the slumbering flower fields. Instead of roaring, he breathed out a soft, warm breeze as gentle as spring sunlight. Patiently, he enveloped each frozen bud in a steady, protective warmth.

One by one, the flowers bloomed beneath the snow, filling the winter air with vibrant petals and sweet aromas. Forest animals gathered peacefully around the kind dragon to share his soothing warmth.

The elder dragons watched in awe and realized the truth: a dragon's greatest power is not in the fire that consumes, but in the gentle warmth that nurtures and protects life.
