The Turtle Who Wanted to Fly Among the Clouds
Tita was a small land turtle who spent her afternoons watching the flight of the swallows. She dreamed of feeling the fresh breeze on her face and seeing the trees from above. Her turtle friends told her she was crazy, that turtles belong to the firm and heavy ground.
The Wise Advice of the Old Owl
One day, Tita asked an old owl for help to climb a high rock. From there she jumped, but only managed to fall gently on her shell with a thud. The owl flew down and said: "Tita, your legs do not have feathers to hold you in the air, but your shell protects you from dangers that swallows could not bear."
"Every creature has its own sky; some fly with wings, others walk safely with their own step."
— Delia Iaboni
Accepting and Loving Our Strengths
Tita understood that her shell was not a heavy burden, but her protective home and unique strength.
